Hey, Leader Assistants. I hope you're having a great holiday season. This is your host, Jeremy Burrows. It's episode 41. This episode is going to be a quick one. For those of you that don't know, I had planned a couple of days to get away and unplug without the kids with my wife. And I ended up the day we were supposed to leave having appendicitis and needing to have surgery to remove my appendix. So I'm a little bit drugged up right now. It's a few days later. And just kind of the moral of the whole story, I guess, that I've learned is to not put all your hope in your plans because they likely are going to change and life is going to happen and life is going to get in the way. So I'm just very grateful that I even have insurance to get surgery. I'm grateful that it happened to be over a period where I have two weeks off anyway. And so I'm able to recover and not feel the stress of having to get back into work. I'm also thankful that I have a podcast that I can do whatever I want with. So I don't feel the pressure to edit another interview and write up a nice long show notes post and get it published for you. So I just wanted to kind of take a minute, let you in a little bit on my personal life. And if I sound a little groggy, it's because I'm on medication for the pain. But yeah, I'm doing fine recovering well, just slowly. And just wanted to say Happy New Year, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas. And I hope you've enjoyed the show. I'm episode 41 now, still going strong, still got about 35 episodes recorded that I need to edit and publish. Coming at you every week. And so yeah, just thanks again for the support. Thanks for listening. Enjoy your holidays. Get some rest, slow down. Hopefully it doesn't require appendicitis for you to slow down and take a break. But yeah, log off of your phone and your computer and enjoy your family. And then just think about what your goals are for 2020 and how you want to change and how you want to grow and I've got a little bit of a snapshot for 2020. So I'm going to be in Chicago in January at the ELS Forum. I'm going to be in Kansas City hosting the Leader Assistant live event with Bonnie Lowe-Crayman and Al Hussein Madhany in February. And then I'm going to be in London in March for the Executive Secretary live event with Lucy Brazier. So I'm very excited for those few events coming up to kick off 2020. I'm also finishing my book, so hopefully I'll have a pre-sale and release date out here in the next few months, Q1 or Q2 of 2020. I should have an announcement on when that's going to release later in 2020. And then yeah, just continuing to provide as much help and as many resources as I can to the assistant community to help you all out. So reach out to me on LinkedIn, email, join our Facebook community at facebook.leaderassistant.com or our Slack community, which is up to almost 600 people at slack.leaderassistant.com. And yeah, just reach out, network, get out of your bubble, connect with other assistants, learn, grow. 2020 is going to be a fun year and an amazing opportunity for you to grow and take the next step in your career and in your steps to be more of a leader in your role as an assistant. So to wrap it up, again, thank you so much. Episode 42 will be next week. We've got a great interview coming up. I'm not looking at my list right now, to be honest, to know which one it is, but it will be a great interview nonetheless. Be sure to subscribe and rate and review the podcast if you're enjoying it. And then lastly, just wanted to invite you to kick off 2020 with the 30 Day Assistant Challenge. So it's an email course with 30 weekdays of quick, bite-sized emails that are encouraging and challenging. And yeah, just sign up at assistantchallenge.com. That's assistantchallenge.com. And join hundreds of assistants who have taken the challenge already in becoming more game-changing, confident leaders. And yeah, you can sign up again at assistantchallenge.com and get it started here right after the holidays. So have a great week. Have a great holiday. Happy New Year. Here we go 2020. And I will talk to you next week.
